Pakistan Fisherfolk Forum
Formally founded in 1998, the Pakistan Fisherfolk Forum (PFF) works for the advancement of social, economic, cultural and political rights of fishermen and fishing communities in Pakistan. It has established itself as a 'mass movement' at the national and international level. PFF serves as international secretariat of World Forum of Fisher People (WFFP), and is also a member of the Asian Forum of Fisher People (AFFP) and International Rivers Network (IRN). Its work covers a range of thematic areas, including education in emergencies, disaster risk reduction, humanitarian response, good governance, environment and climate change, education and human rights. The right to adequate food is one of PFF's core areas of work, which is promoted through mobilization, public campaign and research
