World Trade Organization Fisheries Subsidies Agreement What is the Catch?
After many years of negotiations, the 12th World Trade Organization (WTO) Ministerial Conference (MC12), which took place June 12-17, 2022, adopted a slimmed-down Interim Fisheries Subsidies Agreement. It was hailed as an agreement to save fish globally and to support and accelerate a shift to sustainability.
