Terra Nuova

Terra Nuova, is an association specializing in international solidarity and cooperation for more than 40 years. Many projects initiated by Terra Nuova, especially in Africa and in Latin America, are focused on the promotion of the right to food and food sovereignty.

In particular, Terra Nuova is a leading organization of EuropAfrica (www.europafrica.info), a network of European civil society and African farmer organizations working to promote food sovereignty. Its main objective is monitoring those European policies which could affect, directly or indirectly, the right to food in Africa.

Furthermore, Terra Nuova has contributed to countless projects for the sustainable development of indigenous people in the Amazon. These projects seek to address the development of indigenous economies, while specifically providing assistance to those tribes who have experienced reduced access and poor food quality as a result of global warming, pollution, and deforestation.
